Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has condemned the bomb blast during Friday prayers at the mosque in Kohat Police Lines, expressing his grief over the loss of lives.

According to Press Information Department, the Chairman Senate prayed for the elevation of the ranks of those martyred in the incident and offered condolences to the bereaved families. He urged authorities to ensure the best medical care for the injured and expressed solidarity with the victims’ families.

Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani described the attack on worshippers at a mosque as an act of brutality and a violation of Islamic teachings. He emphasized that terrorists have no religious affiliation and are enemies of humanity.

The Chairman Senate reiterated the nation’s resolve to combat terrorism, asserting that the government and security forces are committed to eliminating terrorism and achieving lasting peace. He affirmed that the struggle against terrorism would persist and that those responsible would face justice.

He prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks, strength for the bereaved families, and a swift recovery for the injured, while seeking peace and stability for Pakistan.
