Islamabad, July 06, 2023 (PPI-OT): Deputy Speaker National Assembly Zahid Akram Durrani was met by HEC delegation led by Chairman Higher Education Commission Dr. Mukhtiar Ahmed at Parliament House on Thursday. In the meeting, issues related to educational facilities in Bannu and other southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the establishment of Kalam Bibi Women International Institute Bannu, were discussed.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Speaker said that the youth of Bannu and other southern districts have been blessed by Allah Almighty with immense talents. But she gets admission in medical colleges and engineering universities. He said that the establishment of Kalam Bibi Women International Institute Bannu will provide opportunities for higher education to women students not only in Bannu but also in other southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that due to the absence of universities in the entire southern districts, students have to face difficulties in traveling to Peshawar for higher education.
He said that Bannu is the central location of southern districts and the establishment of Kalam Bibi Women International Institute in Bannu will benefit not only Bannu but also the students of other southern districts of KPK. He said that the institute was built Chairman HEC Dr. Mukhtiar Ahmed while giving a detailed briefing to Deputy Speaker Zahid Akram Durrani on the steps taken by HEC in connection with the establishment of Kalam Bibi Women International Institute Bannu told that the work on PC One of the Institute It is in final stages and will be completed soon.
He assured the Deputy Speaker that this week a team of HEC will visit the Kalam BB Women International Institute Bannu site and submit its report after which the PC One will be finalised. Chairman HEC appreciated the efforts of the Deputy Speaker National Assembly for the establishment of Kalam Bibi Women’s Institute and the promotion of higher education in southern districts and assured full cooperation in the establishment of Kalam Bibi Women’s International Institute.
