Islamabad: Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has underscored the significance of linking newly proposed cycle tracks with metro and bus stations to foster a more interconnected and sustainable transport network in the capital.
According to Capital Development Authority, during a Zoom meeting with consultants from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Randhawa was briefed on the specifics of the planned cycle tracks. He emphasized that the initiative should meet international standards while remaining cost-effective and environmentally sustainable. The ADB team presented global best practices, suggesting the integration of these standards to enhance the functionality and accessibility of the cycle tracks, potentially transforming urban mobility in Islamabad.
