Islamabad: A delegation of Bahria University students visited the Operations Division of the Islamabad Police under the Friends of Police Programme, following directives from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The visit was designed to provide students an understanding of the operational systems and policing functions within Islamabad, as well as the measures implemented to ensure citizen safety and security.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, Senior Superintendent of Police Operations Qazi Ali Raza briefed the students on the central operational system, its mechanisms, and the role of the Operations Division in maintaining law and order, preventing crime, and ensuring effective police response. This included insights into protecting lives and property.

During their visit, the students also toured Police Station Ramna and Rescue-15, where they learned about police station operations, investigation procedures, community policing, and checkpoint functions at city entry and exit points. The effectiveness of police patrolling and its role in crime prevention and monitoring suspicious activities were also highlighted.

The students were introduced to the use of modern technology in policing, which they appreciated along with the professional methods and initiatives aimed at enhancing public safety. They expressed that the visit was informative and beneficial, fostering better understanding and strengthening communication and cooperation between police and the community.
