Birmingham, July 10, 2023 (PPI-OT): A special award-distribution ceremony was organized in Birmingham under the auspices of Institute of Peace and Development (INSPAD), an international organization active for human rights, peace and religious harmony at the international level. The ceremony was presided over by the INSPAD President Dr Sardar Muhammad Tahir Tabassum, while the Consul General of Pakistan in Birmingham, Sardar Adnan Rasheed attended it as a chief guest.
On the occasion, three important figures working in the context of – Kashmir, UK, relations, Dukhtar Kashmir Bakhtawar Mir, founder and head of Wains Rajput Welfare Trust Alhaj Abdul Khaliq Qadri and General Secretary of All Parties International Kashmir Coordination Committee Sahibzada Muhammad Farooq Ahmed Qadri were honored with INSPAD Aman awards for their outstanding performance in various jihads on the political, social, religious and diplomatic fronts.
The head INSPAD and a prominent Kashmiri leader, Sardar Dr Muhammad Tahir Tabassum on the occasion said Pakistanis and Kashmiris, living in the UK, are doing selfless and effective diplomacy for their religion and country. Consul General of Pakistan, Birmingham, and Sardar Adnan Rasheed paid tributes to INSPAD for organizing such events and vowed to continue political, diplomatic and moral support of Kashmiris until the right to self-determination is achieved.
Sardar Tahir Tabassum said there is a fear that the peace and security efforts in the region will be greatly damaged by changing the life sentence of Kashmiri leader Muhammad Yasin Malik to death sentence. Consular Amir Khan, former Consular Muhammad Akhlaq, Colonel (Retd) Mohabbat Ali, Chairperson of All Pakistan Women Association (APWA), Birmingham, Ms Rifaat Mughal, prominent legal expert Dr Ali Akbar Malik, Speaker World Sikh Parliament Sardar Joga Singh, Chairman of INSPAD Overseas Committee Jahangir Khan, social figure Syed Hussain Shaheed Sarwar Advocate, central leader of Pakistan People’s Party Azad Kashmir, UK, Raja Fazilpur Rehman, Raja Shaukat Ali, former Consular in Italy Iram Tahir, Naila Iqbal Azmat and others were also present on the occasion.
