Army Deployment in Islamabad Ensures Security for Upcoming SCO Summit

Islamabad: The deployment of Army forces in the Islamabad Capital Territory is set to be completed by midnight between Friday and Saturday, ensuring heightened security under Article 245 of the constitution in preparation for the upcoming SCO summit.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the initiative aims to maintain peace and order, preventing any individual or group from violating the law or disrupting the public peace during this critical period. Military troops, including units from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have been mobilized to strategically encircle potential threats from anarchists and armed gangs.

Security officials have committed to the protection of lives and properties, emphasizing that the stability and security of the summit are paramount. Measures are in place to prevent any activities that could create uncertainty about the safety of the event, ensuring a secure environment for all attendees.
