APHC-AJK holds anti-India demo in Islamabad

Islamabad, October 02, 2021 (PPI-OT): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter, held an anti-India protest demonstration in front of the United Nations office in Islamabad on the occasion of the International Day of Non-Violence, today.

The demonstration was led by the APHC-AJK Convener, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani. The protesters were holding banners and placards with slogans against India and in fovour of Kashmir’s freedom from Indian occupation.

Addressing on the occasion, Hurriyat leaders strongly condemned the Indian state terrorism in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They said Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government has unleashed the worst kind of oppression in the occupied territory. They said that since Modi came to power, violence against Kashmiris and Muslims and other minorities in India had increased.

The Hurriyat leaders pointed out that India was committing the genocide of Kashmiris to change the demographic composition of IIOJK but would never succeed in its nefarious designs. They maintained that due to the Kashmiris’ unparalleled sacrifices, Kashmir dispute had become the focus of global attention and international organizations were condemning the Indian brutalities in the occupied territory. They said that despite the Indian state terrorism, the Kashmiris were determined to take their sacred movement to its logical conclusion.

Hurriyat leaders called upon the international human rights organizations to take cognizance of the atrocities committed by Indian troops in the occupied territory. They demanded of the United Nations to put pressure on India to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the resolutions of the world body and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Meanwhile, the Vice Chairman of Friends of Kashmir International, Abdul Hameed Lone, in a statement said that when International Day of Non-Violence is being observed all over the world, Indian atrocities in IIOJK continue. He said the Kashmiri people are facing the worst Indian state terrorism for the last over seven decades but the world had maintained a criminal silence on the matter. He added that the international community must take immediate notice of the deteriorating situation in IIOJK.
