Nine Arrested in Islamabad Police Crackdown on Crime

ISLAMABAD: In a recent operation targeting criminal activity, the Islamabad Police have arrested nine individuals suspected of various criminal offenses, recovering drugs and weapons in the process. The arrests were made by teams from several police stations, including Aabpara, Kohsar, Sumbal, Tarnol, Sangjani, Industrial Area, Shams Colony, Sihala, and Humak. The police recovered 480 grams of heroin, 125 grams of Ice, and six pistols with ammunition from the suspects. Legal proceedings have been initiated against those arrested, with investigations ongoing.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, this operation is part of a broader initiative directed by IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to curb crime and ensure stability in the federal capital. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the commitment of the police to safeguarding residents’ lives and property, stating that maintaining public peace is a primary objective.

The police have also appealed to citizens to report any suspicious activities to local authorities or through the “Pucar-15” helpline, highlighting the importance of community cooperation in the fight against crime.
