Karachi: A delegation from the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, led by Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, met with prominent religious leader Allama Syed Shahshanshah Hussain Naqvi and representatives of various welfare organizations to discuss the ongoing human rights situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The meetings focused on the violations and support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the delegation briefed Allama Naqvi about the severe policies and human rights abuses being conducted by India in the occupied region. Allama Naqvi pledged his full support for the Black Day on October 27, aimed at protesting against Indian actions and showing solidarity with the Kashmiri people. He emphasized the need for Pakistan and its citizens to continue supporting Kashmiris’ rights to self-determination and against India’s oppressive tactics.
Throughout the meetings, the APHC-AJK delegation also engaged with leaders from the United Kashmir Welfare Alliance Karachi and other community groups, sharing details of the distressing conditions faced by the people in IIOJK due to the Indian military’s actions, including killings, forced disappearances, and widespread human rights infringements.
Ghulam Mohammad Safi stressed the importance of bringing international attention to the Kashmir issue, condemning India’s blatant human rights violations. He called for global advocacy for the rights of Kashmiris not only in Azad Jammu and Kashmir but worldwide.
