Washington, D.C.: Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh has officially assumed his role as Pakistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Dominican Republic following a formal credential presentation to President Luis Abinader at the Presidential Palace in Santo Domingo. This event marks a significant diplomatic development between the two nations.
According to Press Information Department, the credential presentation ceremony underscored the mutual interest of Pakistan and the Dominican Republic in enhancing bilateral relations. Both parties expressed intentions to explore collaboration in areas including trade, investment, information technology, and tourism, while also fostering people-to-people exchanges aimed at strengthening the friendship between the two countries.
Ambassador Sheikh, during his address, delivered greetings and best wishes from Pakistan’s leadership to President Abinader and acknowledged the warm reception and hospitality he received. President Abinader, in turn, praised Pakistan’s contributions to global peace and assured support for Pakistan’s leadership in their initiatives, emphasizing their significance on the global stage.
