Islamabad, August 26, 2022 (PPI-OT):148 students were awarded scholarships for higher studies in Hungarian universities. A send-off ceremony in this regard was held at the Higher Education Commission in Islamabad on Friday to award certificates to winners under the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme. Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Rana Tanveer Hussain attended the ceremony as chief guest through video link.
Congratulating the scholarship awardees, the Minister said that it is an excellent opportunity for the students to enhance their knowledge and skills and get international exposure. He advised them to fully utilise their potential and talent in their respective areas of study as well as under the cultural diversity to play a role in improving harmony between Pakistan and Hungary.
It is pertinent to mention that these scholarships began in 2015 with award of 80 scholarships, which were increased to 200 every year in 2017. According to detail, 111 undergraduate, 28 Master and nine PhD candidates are proceeding this year.
