Zhob: A significant event, the Levies Durbar, was held to address the operational challenges and enhance the efficiency of the Levies Force in Zhob. The event, organized by the district administration, was graced by Commissioner Zhob Division Zeeshan Javed as the chief guest. Also in attendance were Deputy Commissioner Zhob Mehboob Ahmed, ADCG Aurangzeb Kasi, Assistant Commissioner Zhob Muhammad Naveed Alam, Risaldar Major Adam Khan, and other key officers.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the Durbar commenced with a formal salute by the Levies chalk and Choband team to the Commissioner upon his arrival. Risaldar Major Doob presented a comprehensive report detailing the performance and issues facing the Levies Force in Zhob. Deputy Commissioner Zhob emphasized the crucial role of the Levies Force in maintaining law and order, not only in the B area but also in the A area in collaboration with the police.
During the event, the challenges faced by the Levies personnel were thoroughly discussed with the senior officers, leading to assurances from Deputy Commissioner Zhob that these issues would be resolved with priority. There is a planned provision for modern weapons, uniforms, and vehicles to enhance the force’s response capabilities against criminal activities.
The ceremony concluded with Commissioner Zhob Division presenting gifts to the families of martyred Levies personnel, acknowledging their sacrifices for public safety. Additionally, commendation certificates and prizes were awarded to outstanding members of the Levies Force. Commissioner Javed highlighted the commendable service of the Levies Force despite adverse conditions and urged vigilance and readiness to prevent any untoward incidents, emphasizing the importance of monitoring suspicious activities and strategic actions for peace and safety.
