Islamabad: The deadline set by the government for illegal foreigners and Afghan Citizen Card holders to leave the country has now expired. This deadline passed on March 31, prompting authorities to prepare for legal action against those who have not complied.
The government had previously announced this deadline as part of its efforts to manage the presence of undocumented individuals within its borders. With the expiration of the deadline, the government is set to initiate strict legal measures against those individuals who remain in the country without legal authorization.
The ongoing process of repatriating Afghan nationals who are staying illegally in the country is continuing. The latest figures indicate that a total of 885,902 individuals have returned to Afghanistan as part of this repatriation effort.
The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to regulating its borders and ensuring the lawful presence of foreign nationals within the country. Further actions are expected to be taken to address the situation of those who have not yet returned to their home countries.
