Pakistan Sends 35 Tonnes of Humanitarian Aid to Myanmar

Islamabad: A significant consignment of humanitarian aid, weighing thirty-five tonnes, was dispatched to Myanmar on Tuesday following the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The shipment aims to provide essential relief to Myanmar, which has been facing ongoing challenges.

Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry was present at Islamabad International Airport to oversee the departure of the cargo flight carrying the aid package. The supplies are destined for Yangon airport, where they will be handed over to Myanmar authorities.

The aid package consists of essential items such as tents, blankets, tarpaulins, water modules, readymade food, and medicines. The selection of these items was made to address immediate needs on the ground in Myanmar.

This initiative underscores Pakistan’s commitment to providing assistance to countries in need, as articulated by government officials. The dispatch of this aid highlights ongoing efforts to support regional stability and humanitarian relief.
