Zardari Extends Independence Day Greetings to Uzbekistan

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended his congratulations to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the citizens of Uzbekistan on the country’s 35th Independence Day. In a message of goodwill, Zardari underscored the enduring connection between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, emphasizing shared values and a mutual commitment to regional peace and prosperity.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari, in his letter to President Mirziyoyev, highlighted the significance of the historic and fraternal ties between the two nations. He noted that these relations are built on a foundation of common faith, cultural connections, and trust. The President also mentioned the growing depth of the partnership, which now includes cooperation in political, economic, trade, connectivity, and defense sectors, as well as cultural exchanges.

Zardari expressed optimism that through collaborative efforts, Pakistan and Uzbekistan would continue to strengthen their bilateral relationship. He emphasized the potential for enhanced regional connectivity and economic cooperation, which align with the shared goals of both nations for achieving peace and prosperity in the region.
