UAE to Host Grand Celebration for Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day in Dubai


Dubai: The United Arab Emirates is set to celebrate Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day with a grand event in Dubai on August 11. This festive gathering will highlight the strong bilateral ties and mutual respect between the two nations, featuring cultural performances and a host of dignitaries.



According to Press Information Department, the event will be graced by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE. Approximately 10,000 attendees are expected at the Dubai World Trade Centre, including diplomats and notable members of the Pakistani community.



The celebration, organized by the “Emirates Loves Pakistan” page in collaboration with the Pakistan Association Dubai, Dubai Police, and Dubai World Trade Centre, aims to showcase the cultural heritage and contributions of the Pakistani community to the UAE’s development. The program will include musical shows, traditional activities, and cultural performances, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to fostering international cooperation and promoting a tolerant and harmonious multicultural society.



The event also underscores the deep-rooted friendship between the UAE and Pakistan, established since 1971 by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Today, the relationship thrives with strong economic cooperation, with the UAE being Pakistan’s top trading partner and largest investor, recently committing $10 billion to key economic sectors in Pakistan.
