New Delhi, Two Indian soldiers were killed and two others injured in blasts in disturbed Indian states of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, today (Friday).
According to Kashmir Media Service, officials said that the blast was carried out by the Maoist through an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) when the Indian forces’ personnel were conducting a search operation in Goilkera area of West Singhbhum district. Three soldiers of Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were injured in the explosion. The injured personnel were airlifted to a hospital in Ranchi where one of them succumbed to his injuries.
In a similar incident, a soldier of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) was killed in a blast triggered by Naxals in the Chhattisgarh state where polling for the second phase of assembly elections took place. The killed soldier was part of a security team escorting a polling team when they were targeted with an explosion near Bade Gobra village in Gariaband district.
A soldier of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Iron Bridge in Agartala city of Tripura state, today.
