Spain, In a significant cultural event organized by the Kashmir Council Spain, Turkish songwriter Turgay Evren unveiled his latest musical work, “Where is Mercy,” dedicating it to the Kashmiri cause. This new composition adds to Evren’s growing portfolio of songs that highlight the plight and resilience of the people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), drawing international attention to their ongoing struggle for freedom and human rights.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Evren’s commitment to the Kashmir cause has been longstanding, with previous works such as “Kashmir Is My Name,” and “Jails of Kashmir” among others, echoing the sentiments of solidarity and support for Kashmiris. “Where is Mercy” continues this tradition, using poignant lyrics to shed light on the dire situation in Kashmir and the need for compassion and action from the global community.

The event saw the participation of notable figures from various organizations, who lauded Evren for his artistic and humanitarian efforts. Altaf Ahmed Butt of the Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) and Fahim Kayani of Tehreek e Kashmir UK, among others, recognized the powerful impact of Evren’s songs in raising awareness and mobilizing support for Kashmir across cultural and national boundaries.
