Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan is continuing its consultations with stakeholders to develop a standardized national e-filing framework, following a meeting between the Chief Justice of Pakistan and the Balochistan Bar Council delegation in Quetta. The meeting is part of a broader initiative to create a uniform e-filing system across various courts in the country.

According to Press Information Department, the Chief Justice, who chairs the National Judicial (Policy Making) Committee, emphasized the importance of the Bar as a crucial partner in developing and implementing the e-filing framework. The standardized system aims to modernize court processes, improve efficiency and transparency, and enhance accessibility for lawyers and litigants.

The proposed National Standardised E-Filing System is intended to be a structured and compliant platform that aligns with the procedural and legal requirements of judicial proceedings. The Bar Council members expressed support for the initiative, anticipating benefits such as simplified filing procedures, effective case tracking, and a unified electronic case record.

A committee, including Registrars from all High Courts and representatives from Provincial and Islamabad Bar Councils, will review and finalize the e-filing templates. These templates will then be presented to the National Judicial (Policy Making) Committee for further consideration and policy guidance.
