Lahore: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif met with the newly elected Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Iftikhar Gilani, as reported in a recent press release.

According to the Chief Minister of Punjab, the meeting between the two leaders included a congratulatory note from the Chief Minister to Barrister Iftikhar Gilani on his election as Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. In response, Prime Minister Gilani expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). He reaffirmed his commitment to implementing a 100-day reform agenda aimed at the development of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Gilani also praised Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for her role in launching significant projects in Punjab. He described these projects as a guiding example for the development efforts in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Prime Minister Gilani emphasized his ambition to transform Azad Kashmir into a model of development, drawing inspiration from the leadership of Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
