ISLAMABAD: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, led a high-level meeting to evaluate the current law and order situation and enhance efforts against drug trafficking and criminal activities in the city.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting was attended by key personnel including the SSP Security & Admin, Zonal SPs, Circle SDPOs, and SHOs. Discussions focused on crime prevention strategies, the status of ongoing operations, and the performance and challenges faced by various departments.

During the meeting, SSP Raza instructed officers to intensify operations targeting drug dealers and criminal elements. He stressed the importance of strengthening field policing to improve crime prevention and ordered indiscriminate action against criminal activities.

The SSP emphasized regular inspections of police stations, rigorous checking of suspicious individuals and vehicles at checkpoints, and enhanced patrols and surveillance at sensitive locations. He also directed the timely completion of police stations under the SIPS protocol, ensuring they meet prescribed standards and provide adequate facilities for both citizens and police personnel.

Officers were also tasked with resolving citizens’ complaints promptly, providing improved police services, and maintaining professional conduct with the public. SSP Raza reiterated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property, upholding the rule of law, and maintaining public order are the primary objectives of the Islamabad Police. He assured that all available resources are being utilized to ensure a safe environment for residents.
