Hyderabad, India, Blaze that swept through a five-storey residential building in Hyderabad’s Nampally area claimed the lives of seven family members and an elderly couple on Monday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Fire Department reported that as the flames spread, thick black smoke filled the building, leading to fatalities caused by either asphyxiation or burns.
The victims include Mohammed Azam, 58, his wife Rehana Sultana, 50, their daughters Faiza Sameen, 26, and Dr Tahura Farheen, 35, as well as their son Hasib-ur-Rahman, 32.
Additionally, Tarooba, 13, and Tooba, 6, the children of Dr. Farheen, who was visiting her parents, perished in the fire.
Mohammed Zakir Hussain, 66, and his wife Nikath Sultana, 55, were also among the casualties.
