SECP Chairman Emphasizes Digitalization and Innovation Amid MOBIZ Expansion


ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Dr. Kabir Ahmed Sidhu, highlighted the critical importance of digitalization and technology-led business models for Pakistan’s economic growth during the expansion announcement of MOBIZ in Pakistan.



According to Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Dr. Sidhu underscored the potential for Pakistan to become a significant regional hub for IT services and digital solutions, leveraging its expanding pool of young technology professionals. He stated that the SECP is actively working to create a regulatory environment that is transparent, efficient, and technology-enabled, in alignment with international standards and the evolving needs of businesses.



Dr. Sidhu stressed the role of digitalization in transforming the business landscape by reducing operational costs, enhancing transparency, and promoting seamless regulatory interactions. He emphasized the importance of connecting Pakistani professionals with global markets, which he believes is crucial for turning the country’s demographic strengths into sustainable economic advancements.



In welcoming MOBIZ’s expansion through its new office in Karachi at NASTP Silicon 1, Dr. Sidhu noted the significance of the company’s presence, which includes over 170 professionals across four continents with expertise in cloud, data, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. The SECP Chairman congratulated MOBIZ on its milestone and extended his best wishes for its success in the Pakistani technology ecosystem.
