Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has paid tribute to the martyrs of the Karsaz tragedy on its 19th anniversary, emphasizing their sacrifices as a pivotal chapter in Pakistan’s history.
According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari highlighted the unwavering resolve of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, who persisted in the face of threats to her life. He remarked on Benazir Bhutto’s courage and sacrifice as guiding principles for advocates of democracy, peace, and justice. The President stressed that the martyrs’ sacrifices underscore the importance of upholding the Constitution, people’s rule, and democratic values.
President Zardari noted that these sacrifices bolster national efforts to eradicate terrorism and extremism. He also offered prayers for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and extended wishes for patience and strength to their families.
