Islamabad: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, H.E. Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House to discuss strengthening bilateral ties. Both nations emphasized enhancing economic and agricultural collaborations, reflecting their strategic partnership.

According to Press Information Department, the Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the existing relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and extended greetings to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The discussion highlighted the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement with Turkiye, emphasizing unity and peace in the region.

Prime Minister Sharif noted the importance of bolstering economic and agricultural cooperation, aiming to transform the longstanding relationship into a robust trade and investment alliance. The dialogue included potential enhancements in agricultural productivity in Pakistan through technology and improved water resource management. A delegation of Pakistani agricultural experts is set to visit Riyadh to explore further opportunities.

Minister Al-Fadley conveyed gratitude for the hospitality and reiterated Saudi Arabia’s dedication to expanding partnerships in agriculture, water, and food security sectors. The meeting included several federal ministers and senior officials, underscoring the significance of the bilateral engagement.
