Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, engaged in discussions with Mr. Ghassan Ahmed Amodi, Chief Executive Officer of Asyad Group from Saudi Arabia, to explore the group’s investment portfolio and future expansion plans in Pakistan. The meeting emphasized new investment opportunities in key sectors, including those linked to the Government’s privatization initiatives.
According to Press Information Department, Mr. Amodi expressed Asyad Group’s long-term commitment to Pakistan, underscoring the significance of the country within the group’s international investment strategy. The CEO highlighted plans to expand Asyad’s presence and explore participation in upcoming privatization projects, notably in the airport sector.
Senator Aurangzeb welcomed the continued interest from Saudi investors and pointed out emerging opportunities from the privatization process. He stressed the importance of attracting credible investors for sustainable economic growth and fostering multidimensional engagement with Saudi Arabia to enhance economic cooperation.
The discussions also covered Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited’s expansion initiatives, including its retail network and digitalization efforts. Mr. Amodi indicated the group’s interest in further investments in various sectors and bringing together Saudi and Pakistani investors for future projects.
The Finance Minister highlighted Pakistan’s macroeconomic improvements and assured continued support for facilitating private-sector investments. He emphasized Pakistan’s strategic location as a gateway to regional markets and encouraged collaboration with the private sector to capitalize on investment opportunities.
Mr. Amodi reaffirmed Asyad Group’s commitment to strengthening economic ties with Pakistan and expanding its investment footprint in the country.
