ISLAMABAD: Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb met with Ghassan Ahmed Amodi, CEO of Asyad Group and Chairperson of Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited, to discuss Saudi Arabia’s expanding investment interests in Pakistan. The discussions included Asyad Group’s existing projects, potential expansion, and new investment opportunities linked to Pakistan’s ongoing privatization efforts.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting also reviewed Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited’s strategic plans for growth, including expanding its retail network, enhancing storage infrastructure, and pursuing digitalization. The focus extended to possible investments in Pakistan’s financial sector. Senator Aurangzeb welcomed the increased interest from Saudi investors and emphasized the government’s commitment to fostering a favorable investment climate through economic reforms.
The Finance Minister also highlighted the importance of reinforcing private-sector partnerships between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, assuring the delegation of continued governmental support. Ghassan Ahmed Amodi reiterated Asyad Group’s dedication to Pakistan as a long-term investment hub and outlined plans to further establish the group’s presence. He expressed interest in contributing to the upcoming airport privatization process and emphasized the group’s intent to strengthen economic ties by engaging Saudi and international partners with the necessary expertise.
