Islamabad: A ceremony was conducted at the Special Protection Unit (SPU), Security Division, to honor police officers recently promoted to higher ranks. Superintendent of Police (SP) Khalid Mehmood Awan presided over the event, acknowledging the ascension of Inspector Saqib Ali Khan and Inspector Raja Tahir Mehmood by pinning their new ranks.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, SP Khalid Mehmood Awan addressed the promoted officers, highlighting the increased responsibilities accompanying their new positions. He noted that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad has given explicit instructions to continue departmental promotions for all vacant posts. The promotions were described as a testament to the officers’ dedication and professional contributions.

SP Khalid Mehmood Awan urged the officers to meet their enhanced duties with efficiency and contribute positively to the police department’s reputation. He stressed that the welfare of the department, justice for citizens, and public service should remain top priorities. SP Awan expressed confidence that the officers would continue to serve with dedication, sincerity, and a commitment to public service.
