Quetta: The Quetta Development Authority (QDA) has reiterated its commitment to the public interest and the development of affordable housing schemes in the region. Director General Askar Khan and Director Town Planning Zeen Kasi outlined the authority’s focus on enhancing Quetta’s urban landscape and ensuring the provision of essential services and amenities within these housing projects.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, during discussions with QDA staff, DG Askar Khan emphasized that the organization would not compromise on public interests. Meanwhile, Director Town Planning Zeen Kasi detailed efforts to provide affordable housing, stressing the availability of all basic facilities in QDA’s schemes. These remarks were made at a meeting which included other key QDA officials such as Surveyor and Drawing Officer Syed Qayyum Shah and Assistant Town Planner Bajar Khan.
Director Kasi also directed his team to consolidate information regarding available plots to ensure the public has access to affordable housing options. He mentioned that QDA is not only focused on residential development but also on beautifying Quetta and creating recreational spaces for the community, highlighting the need for public cooperation in these initiatives.
The meeting also addressed the importance of responding to public complaints and ensuring transparency and effectiveness in QDA’s operations, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to urban development and public engagement.
