Punjab Police IG Honors Dera Ghazi Khan SHO for Exceptional Border Defense

Karachi, In a significant recognition of valor and duty, Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, awarded Sub-Inspector Sadiq Hussain of the Dera Ghazi Khan border police station Wahwa for his outstanding defense of the provincial border. The award ceremony, held at the IG’s office, included a certificate of appreciation and a cash reward for SHO Hussain.

According to Punjab Police, Dr. Anwar commended the resilience and dedication of the border police, especially acknowledging the soldiers at the border check posts as the true heroes of the Punjab Police. This recognition comes amidst challenging conditions and severe threats of terrorism that the province faces.

Dr. Anwar emphasized the strategic significance of the Wahwa police station’s four outposts in Dera Ghazi Khan, located along the borders with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Lakhani, Jhangi, Triman, and Natkani. These outposts are critical in the fight against terrorism and in preventing the schemes of hostile elements against the nation’s peace and security.

The meeting also served as a platform for Dr. Anwar to encourage SHO Hussain and his team to maintain their high spirit and commitment to duty. He stressed the importance of continuous operations against anti-social elements posing threats to public safety and property.
