Punjab Police Allocate Over 11 Lakh Rupees for Treatment of Injured Ghazi Officers

LAHORE, In response to the directives of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, the department has sanctioned more than 11 lakh rupees for the medical care of its Ghazi officers and officials who sustained injuries while performing their duties.

According to a new release by the Punjab Police, a series of monetary aids have been allocated to various injured personnel across several districts, with Lahore among them. DSP Muhammad Umar Farooq received 03 lakh rupees to cover his medical expenses. Similarly, head constables Raza Ali, Altaf Hussain, and Constable Abdul Latif were allocated Rs.02 lakh each for their treatment. Constable Muhammad Adeel Jameel was provided with Rs.01 lakh 50 thousand, while Ghazi Constable Shaukat Hayat was given 01 lakh rupees for their respective medical treatments. All these officers and officials were severely wounded in encounters with criminals while on duty.

Reiterating his commitment to the well-being of the police force, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has emphasized the importance of ensuring the best possible treatment and swift recovery for these Ghazi personnel. As a mark of recognition and respect, the Ghazi officers and officials will be honored with silver medals. Furthermore, their names will find a permanent place on the dedicated Ghazi wall in the Central Police Office.
