Lahore: Secretary Housing Punjab Noor-ul-Amin Mengal has instructed officials and contractors to expedite development projects under the Punjab Development Program to ensure timely and quality completion. The directive, issued during a meeting convened on the orders of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, emphasizes accountability for those failing to meet standards.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the Secretary underscored the importance of adhering to the Smart Execution Plan, which mandates the division of development works into three packages, each with a three-month completion deadline. Mengal stressed that no project should remain unfinished, and every package must be completed within the allotted timeframe.
Mengal also highlighted the necessity of completing all works in accordance with approved standards and timelines, with a specific directive to finish ongoing projects before the next monsoon season.
