Copenhagen: Pakistan and Denmark have agreed to enhance their bilateral cooperation following the conclusion of the fifth round of Bilateral Political Consultations held in the Danish capital. The discussions, which covered a wide range of topics, aimed to bolster the relationship between the two countries through increased political engagement and expanded trade and investment ties.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Pakistani delegation was led by Additional Secretary for Europe, Ambassador Ayesha Ali, while the Danish delegation was headed by State Secretary for Trade and Investments Ambassador Susanne Hyldelund. The consultations included a comprehensive review of the existing bilateral relations, focusing on areas such as green transition and energy cooperation, people-to-people contacts, consular matters, and multilateral cooperation.

During the meetings, both sides expressed satisfaction with the current trajectory of their bilateral relations and reiterated their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Pakistan acknowledged and appreciated the ongoing Danish support under the Green Framework Engagement Agreement and the Strategic Sector Cooperation, notably highlighting the Faisalabad Wastewater Treatment Plant project.

The two nations agreed to maintain the momentum of their bilateral engagements and to continue close coordination on issues of mutual interest, signaling a shared vision for future collaboration.
