Protests in AJK Against Indian Supreme Court’s Verdict on IIOJK

Bagh, A significant protest demonstration was held in Bagh city of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) in response to the Indian Supreme Court’s verdict that endorsed the Modi government’s actions of repealing the special status of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, the demonstration was organized by the AJK chapter of the Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjaal Movement and saw robust participation from the public. Participants in the protest were seen holding banners and vocally expressing their dissent against India’s decisions.

The speakers at the demonstration voiced a strong rejection of the Indian Supreme Court’s ruling, emphasizing that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have never accepted India’s illegal occupation of their homeland. They highlighted the ongoing struggle since 1947 for liberation and declared their intention to continue this fight until the Kashmiri people achieve their goal of self-determination.

Simultaneously, a similar protest was organized in the Jhelum Valley region of AJK by the Pakistan People’s Party Jhelum Valley. This demonstration also saw protestors chanting slogans against India and advocating for Kashmir’s freedom from Indian occupation.

The speakers at these demonstrations made a passionate appeal to the international community, urging them to recognize the severity of India’s actions in IIOJK and to play an active role in resolving the Kashmir dispute in line with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

These protests reflect the strong sentiment in AJK against the recent Indian Supreme Court’s verdict and the continued desire for a just resolution to the longstanding Kashmir issue.
