Islamabad: The Prime Minister’s Special Fuel Relief Scheme is in full swing across Pakistan, providing significant subsidies on petrol to ease the financial burden on citizens. Under the initiative, petrol is being offered with a subsidy of one hundred rupees per liter, benefiting a wide range of vehicle owners.

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expanded the scheme’s benefits following feedback from across the nation. Motorcycles, Qingqi, and auto-rickshaws that require less than five liters of petrol for refueling will now receive a weekly discount of five hundred rupees against a single token, with up to four tokens being issued per month. This move aims to provide more targeted relief to those using smaller vehicles.

The scheme continues to provide a discount of one hundred rupees per liter for up to ten liters of petrol every ten days to owners of vehicles up to 800cc. These vehicle owners will receive three tokens per month, maintaining the existing arrangement. Additionally, the registration SMS service has been made completely free for citizens eligible for the scheme.

Implementation measures have been initiated to include 20-year-old motorcycles, rickshaws, and Chingchi rickshaws in the relief scheme, following directives from the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Sharif is personally overseeing all aspects of the scheme to ensure its effective rollout and to maximize its benefits for the public.
