Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed that 20-year-old motorcycles, rickshaws, and Qingqi rickshaws be immediately included in the nation’s fuel relief scheme, a move aimed at providing financial reprieve to more vehicle owners.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that Sharif expanded the scope of the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme to accommodate a larger pool of eligible vehicles. Under the revised directive, motorcycles, rickshaws, and Qingqi rickshaws registered after January 1, 2006, are now eligible for the fuel subsidy. The initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to alleviate the economic burden on citizens reliant on these forms of transportation.
