PM Expands Fuel Relief Scheme to Include Older Motorcycles and Rickshaws

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the immediate inclusion of 20-year-old motorcycles, rickshaws, and Qingqi rickshaws in the national fuel relief scheme, broadening the program’s reach to support more vehicle owners amid rising fuel costs.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister’s Office announced that Sharif expanded the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme to allow motorcycles, rickshaws, and Qingqi rickshaws registered after January 1, 2006, to register for the fuel subsidy. This directive aims to provide relief to a larger segment of the population reliant on these modes of transportation.
