Islamabad: Ambassador of France Nicolas Galey met with President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr today for a farewell meeting that highlighted the strengthening of Pakistan-France relations under the ambassador’s tenure. President Zardari praised Galey’s contributions and expressed optimism for continued bilateral cooperation.
According to Press Information Department, President Zardari emphasized the importance of high-level exchanges, economic collaboration, and business interactions between the two nations. He acknowledged France’s recognition of Pakistan’s mediation in the US-Iran conflict and conveyed solidarity with France regarding recent devastating wildfires.
President Zardari also lauded French companies and the French Agency for Development for their role in Pakistan’s development projects. Ambassador Galey expressed his gratitude for the support he received in Pakistan and underscored France’s recognition of the State of Palestine and support for global human rights movements.
