Islamabad, President Dr. Arif Alvi has emphasized the need for focused development of human and natural resources in Gilgit-Baltistan. This call to action was made during his meeting with elected members of the Gilgit-Baltistan Council in Islamabad today.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Alvi reiterated his commitment to the durable socio-economic development of the region. The discussion centered around the current challenges faced by Gilgit-Baltistan, with the President highlighting the importance of uplifting the agriculture and farming sectors.
President Alvi also assured the delegation that he would communicate the region’s issues to relevant forums, indicating the federal government’s continued support for addressing the unique challenges of Gilgit-Baltistan. This meeting reflects the administration’s ongoing efforts to integrate the strategic and resource-rich region more fully into Pakistan’s development agenda.
