Islamabad, President Asif Ali Zardari today praised Jordan for its humanitarian efforts in Palestine during a meeting with Jordanian Ambassador Dr. Maen Khreasat.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions highlighted the strong ties between Pakistan and Jordan, with both sides expressing a desire to further enhance their relationship. Ambassador Khreasat extended an invitation to President Zardari to attend a conference on humanitarian aid for Gaza, set to take place in Jordan next Tuesday. President Zardari assured the Ambassador of Pakistan’s participation in the event.
During the meeting, Ambassador Khreasat detailed Jordan’s recent initiatives, including a memorandum of understanding signed with the Brotherhood Foundation aimed at providing humanitarian assistance in Palestine. President Zardari expressed appreciation for Jordan’s commitment to supporting Palestinian aid efforts. Additionally, the Ambassador conveyed a congratulatory message from the Jordanian King to President Zardari on his election as President of Pakistan.
