Lahore, In preparation for the upcoming general elections in Pakistan, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) have each unveiled their respective election manifestos. The announcements were made in separate events in Lahore and Karachi, indicating the parties’ readiness for the electoral battle.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif presented his party’s manifesto in Lahore. During a party event, Sharif emphasized that the manifesto was meticulously prepared and would be fully implemented should the PML-N be voted into power. He highlighted the country’s economy as a central aspect of the manifesto. Sharif, the former Prime Minister, also noted the party’s commitment to non-vindictive politics and a focus on national development, citing the PML-N’s previous success in reducing load shedding and providing affordable electricity.
At the same event, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif addressed the significance of election manifestos, stressing the importance of evaluating the implementation of promised agendas by political parties.
Meanwhile, in Karachi, the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) revealed its manifesto, as informed by GDA Information Secretary Sardar Abdul Rahim. The GDA’s ten-point manifesto focuses on empowering district governments to manage education, health, agriculture, and other civic matters. Rahim also stated the GDA’s commitment to building a society rooted in non-violence and social justice.
The release of these manifestos marks a critical phase in the election campaigning, with both parties setting out their visions for Pakistan’s future. As the election date approaches, the manifestos are expected to play a significant role in shaping the political discourse and influencing voter decisions.
