Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, exchanged Eid ul Fitr greetings during a recent telephonic conversation. In the call, both leaders expressed their desire to strengthen bilateral relations, particularly in trade and investment.
Prime Minister Sharif conveyed warm wishes to Sheikh Tamim and the people of Qatar, which were reciprocated by the Amir with best wishes for Pakistan.
Reflecting on his visit to Doha last October, Prime Minister Sharif thanked the Amir and Sheikha al Mayassa for hosting the Manzar cultural exhibition. Both leaders agreed to reinforce ties through a Qatari delegation’s visit to Pakistan following Eid to discuss investment opportunities.
The conversation also touched on regional issues, with Prime Minister Sharif commending Qatar’s diplomatic efforts in promoting peace, especially in Gaza. The Prime Minister extended an invitation to Sheikh Tamim for an official visit to Pakistan.
