ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized the importance of reinforcing economic and agricultural ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, highlighting the need for a stronger trade and investment partnership. This call for collaboration came during a meeting with Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing constructive engagement between the two nations, particularly in the realm of agricultural exports from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia. Discussions also explored ways to enhance agricultural productivity in Pakistan through technology, research and development, and efficient water resource management.

Prime Minister Sharif announced plans for a delegation of Pakistani agricultural experts to visit Riyadh, aiming to further discussions and maximize the potential of the partnership. He reaffirmed the strong, fraternal ties between the two countries, referencing the recently signed Makkah Joint Defence Agreement among Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Pakistan as a symbol of regional unity and peace.

The Saudi Minister conveyed the Kingdom’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Pakistan, particularly in agriculture, water, and food security sectors.
