Beijing: In a celebration of 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing co-hosted the “Shadows of Belonging” photo exhibition with the Beijing Peace Garden Museum and IBI Goulian Goufan. The event showcased the works of Pakistani artist Nazia Akram and highlighted the cultural ties between the two countries. The exhibition was attended by dignitaries, art enthusiasts, and media, marking a significant milestone in Pakistan-China relations.
According to Press Information Department, the event featured remarks from the Ambassador of Pakistan to China, Khalil Hashmi. He emphasized the strong inter-state relations between the two nations, built on mutual trust and respect over the past 75 years. Ambassador Hashmi expressed gratitude to the Beijing Peace Garden Museum and IBI Goulian Goufan for their support in hosting the exhibition. He also recognized the contributions of artist Nazia Akram and musician Wang Long, whose performance added a unique layer of cultural exchange to the event.
Nazia Akram, in her opening speech, described the exhibition as an exploration of Pakistan’s cultural essence through photography. She highlighted the exhibition as a cultural dialogue fostering mutual understanding and artistic exchange between Pakistan and China. Akram expressed her gratitude to the Embassy of Pakistan for their encouragement in promoting cultural exchange.
