Pakistan Emerges as Key Mediator in US-Iran Ceasefire Talks


Islamabad: Pakistan has positioned itself as a pivotal player in fostering peace by successfully mediating between the United States and Iran, effectively establishing itself as a guarantor of regional stability.



According to Radio Pakistan, the senior leadership in Pakistan has been instrumental in sustaining a ceasefire and facilitating diplomatic negotiations between the two nations. The mediation efforts have been acknowledged by various international stakeholders.



White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt remarked on Pakistan’s significant role, noting that the country executed its mediation responsibilities with remarkable effectiveness. Furthermore, Asif Durrani, Pakistan’s former Ambassador to Iran, emphasized that Iran’s trust in Pakistan has made it the sole viable channel for mediation.



Singapore-based broadcaster Channel News Asia underscored Pakistan’s growing importance in the geopolitical landscape, suggesting that its diplomatic success serves as a wake-up call for neighboring India.
