Pakistan’s Fertilizer Companies to Lower Urea Prices


Islamabad, Fertilizer companies in Pakistan have committed to reducing the prices of urea, a move that was confirmed during a meeting between the Chief Executive Officer of Fauji Fertilizer Company, Jahangir Paracha, and the Minister for Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain, in Islamabad.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Paracha informed Minister Hussain that the Fertilizer Manufacturers of Pakistan Advisory Council, a collective body representing all fertilizer companies in the country, has unanimously agreed to lower urea prices. During the meeting, Paracha also presented several proposals from the council aimed at further industry improvements.
