Pakistan’s Communications Minister Attends King Harald-V’s Funeral in Norway

OSLO: Pakistan’s Minister for Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, represented his nation at the funeral service for King Harald-V of Norway in Oslo. During this significant event, Khan conveyed condolences on behalf of Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and citizens, underscoring the nation’s solidarity with Norway in its time of mourning.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister was also granted an audience with King Haakon-VIII, where he extended Pakistan’s respect for the late monarch’s legacy. On the sidelines, Khan engaged in discussions with notable Norwegian figures, including Espen Barth Eide, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Lubna Jaffery, Minister of Culture and Equality; Åsmund Aukrust, Minister of International Development; and Jens Stoltenberg, Minister of Finance. These interactions focused on expressing condolences and exploring mutual interests, highlighting the intent to strengthen bilateral relations. Norwegian leaders acknowledged Pakistan’s high-level participation, emphasizing the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Norway.
