Islamabad, 03 Dec 2023: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Masood Khan, has highlighted the significant achievements of Pakistani-American entrepreneurs and professionals in the United States during a gathering in Washington. He commended their contributions to both the U.S. and Pakistan’s economic development.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ambassador Khan addressed a diverse group of Pakistani-Americans, acknowledging their reputation and impact across the United States and beyond. He emphasized their direct and indirect roles in strengthening Pak-US relations and their contributions to Pakistan’s economic growth.
The event recognized notable figures such as Dr. Sohail Masood, CEO of KabaFusion and Entrepreneur of The Year 2023 National Award awardee, and Ms. Ambreen Mirza, President & CEO of OPEN Global. Dr. Masood shared his journey with KabaFusion, detailing its rise to becoming a leading U.S. healthcare provider and its expansion worth $4 billion. Ms. Mirza discussed OPEN’s growth from a small group of technology entrepreneurs to a global network impacting critical sectors like healthcare, education, and climate change.
Zaina Bankwalla, Chair of OPEN Washington DC chapter, invited Pakistani-American entrepreneurs and professionals to join the OPEN fraternity, highlighting the organization’s role in fostering entrepreneurship and professional growth.
The gathering included Pakistani-origin Presidents, CEOs, and senior executives from prominent companies like KabaFusion, Delloite, OPEN, The Citizen Foundation, Sirhandi Companies, TRG Group, Novacloud, Facebook, and others.
