Lahore: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif marked Eid-ul-Fitr by offering prayers at Model Town on Monday, emphasizing the importance of national peace and development. Accompanied by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister also extended Eid greetings to citizens.
During the prayer, Prime Minister Shehbaz focused on the peace and prosperity of Pakistan and highlighted the need for unity within the Muslim world. He specifically mentioned the ongoing struggles in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine, praying for the deliverance of Muslims in these regions from occupation forces.
Following the prayer service, the prime minister interacted with fellow citizens, exchanging Eid greetings and shaking hands.
In a message to the nation, Prime Minister Shehbaz addressed current threats facing the country, both internal and external. He stressed the importance of combating extremism, hatred, and sectarianism to ensure national stability and integrity.
The prime minister urged the public to stand united against conspiracies and to support the freedom struggles of Kashmir and Palestine, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to these causes.
