ISLAMABAD: A 116-member delegation from the Pakistan Youth Parliament visited the Parliament House in Islamabad for a study tour, where they explored various facets of the country’s legislative framework. The group was welcomed by officials from the Senate Secretariat and participated in a series of educational activities aimed at enhancing their understanding of parliamentary proceedings.

According to Senate of Pakistan, the delegation’s visit included a stop at the Senate Museum, where they received a briefing on the history of Parliament, legislative procedures, and the constitutional role of the Senate. A documentary detailing the history of the Upper House was also shown, providing further context for the young attendees.

The group then toured the Senate Hall and the Assembly Hall, where they were briefed on operational procedures, parliamentary traditions, and the legislative process. The visit included a stop at Gali-e-Dastoor, an exhibit that provides insights into the framing of the Constitution of Pakistan and its key constitutional milestones.

Concluding their visit, the delegation expressed gratitude to the Senate Secretariat for the informative experience, emphasizing the educational value of such tours. They observed that these visits play a crucial role in promoting democratic values, legislation, and understanding of the parliamentary system among young people.
